I guess you can call this a "Wall of Shame" post here. I had one May 08 Cotton contract that I got in at 68.70. I know what you're thinking... Wow, that guy has made some money these past two weeks. Yeah, you'd think. I sold out just about 72 taking a nice profit, but man, talk about filling up on salad at a steak house, what a dumb move! This just goes to prove that while technicals can help you position in, it's just a raging bull market that just needs to be ridden higher, a mistake I'll not soon repeat.

Yeah no worries pharmer...I had the nerve to complain about cotton when it was down in the high 68's, hoping I'd get stopped out because it didn't seem to be moving...glad I didn't get my dumb wish!

I think you're right in your bull market comment - reminded me of the funny line from Reminences of a Stock Operator, where the traders keep asking this old guy why he hasn't sold, and he just keeps responding "Well it is a bull market!"

Ken,

I'm very slowly adding to coffee, sugar, cotton, and beans on added strength. Scary market for sure right now.

Mini beans and the Yen could be decent 'dip your toe in' new entries. The yen has pulled back and looks to be on its next leg up, and beans look to be in full runaway mode.

Just my $0.02 though - things sure are getting crazy!
